The building forms a key part of DGC’s original 2003 Masterplan for the Warrington Campus, and provides a variety of traditional and IT teaching spaces. The entrance foyer leads directly to a large multi-purpose space for training events held jointly with local businesses.
Partly funded by the NWDA, the building achieved a very good BREEAM rating, and employs such features as Stack effect natural ventilation to the teaching spaces, as part of this accreditation.
